Gong Description: Symphonic gongs have essentially the same design (aside from the logos) as the Planets, except the Symphonics are not tuned.   Because each Symphonic gong is not tuned it will produce more variation of tone when striking different spots on the gong-face compared to a Planet gong. Therefore, the Symphonic's sound is more varied & spread out than the Planet's.  Yet the Symphonic gong still has a very warm, soothing bass & therefore, on the whole, it is a great balance between grounding (bass) and expressiveness (variation of tone & rich dynamics).  This may be why it is the gong of choice for many Kundalini yoga practitioners and sound therapists.
