Description: These beautiful HAND MADE ceramic doumbeks have been in production since 1973. Their beauty of sound and design make them great art-drums. They are made in the USA by master potter Björn Straube. The fixed Fish Skin Head and Ceramic body provides durability and brings out beautiful tones. Many doumbek players say fish skin heads bring out the most beautiful tones for ceramic doumbeks. These ceramic drums are very resonant, with a strong, warm bass (doum) and pretty high (tek) tones. If you are traveling with this drum we recommend using a bag to protect the beautiful ceramic shells.
