The LP Jim Greiner Pro Shekere was designed by LP & Jim Greiner, one of the coolest Lp artists! This shekere is based upon old/traditional West African Shekeres, yet it also relies on some high tech materials to increase it's durability & enhance it's musicality.

The shell looks simple, but is made of durable, resonant fiberglass, the result of a high tech process. The shell is slightly smaller than that of LP's standard Shekere model. This slightly reduced size was created by digitally matching an original organic gourd hand-selected by Jim, and then further tailoring all the dimensions for optimal feel, balance, projection, and sound with high tech assistance. Likewise the beads look simple, but Jim & LP's designers worked together to create essentially unbreakable plastic beads that replicate the traditional bead-on-gourd sound.

Even though there is a touch of high tech in the Greiner Shekere, it is an authentic sounding & beautifully responding Shekere. It is more durable than the traditional West African gourd shekeres yet is totally musical & player-friendly! It's fun!!
