(Note: The natural color of the gong in is silver, characteristic of the nickel-silver alloy, which the gong is made of. However, the gong is slightly reflective and it easily picks up colors and lighting, which surrounds it. Hence, in first video on this page the gong picks up the colors in the room and appears gold-tone. However, the second video [w/ the Friction Mallet] shows more of the Zodiac gong's natural silver color.)

The Zodiac Gong represents a unique series of gongs. No other gong that we know of has the same hammering style as the Zodiac. Plus, it's nickel-silver alloy is special. The design of Zodiac gong is part Chinese and shows similarities to the Chinese Wind gong, but the Zodiac gong is distinct and has it's own effects and beautiful singing qualities.
