The Spirit of America series of Bongos and Congas are no longer manufactured.  They were produced as a commemoration to 9/11.  They testify to LP's commitment to right standards, both in the commemoration and quality of this instrument.

LP Accents™ Spirit of America Series Bongos combine the virtually indestructible features and full spectrum sound of our existing fiberglass bongos with a new, beautiful, integrated design finish.

Integrated artistic shell finish is molded into the drum, helping to preserve the look and beauty of the drum.  The Spirit of America Bongos  are Virtually indestructible, with steel reinforced bearing edges molded into the fiberglass to provide maximum strength.  They are made with plated cast aluminum bottoms; 5/16" diameter tuning lugs have been carefully formed to hug the shell, making them as comfortable for playing as possible; 7-1/4" and 8-5/8" hand selected, natural rawhide heads.  Available in gold tone finish with LP Comfort Curve II Rims
