LP makes a wide variety of bongos to cover beginner, intermediate and advanced playing levels. Each level is available in fiberglass and wood. Fiberglass is a brighter and a little more resonant than wood. The wood are a little warmer and darker sounding than fiberglass.
LP's beginner bongos are called Aspire and Cosmic Percussion (CP) bongos. They are lighter and smaller than LP's intermediate and advanced bongos. LP's intermediate bongos, the Matador bongos, are durable, mid-range bongos. They are great for intermediate players and reasonably priced. The Matadors are called intermediate drums, but they are of high enough quality for advanced players to enjoy. LP's advanced bongos are called LP Series. LP Series include premium wood and fiberglass bongos. There are a few features, which set them apart from the Matador Series. First, LP Series bongos offer the best heads. The heads are hand selected and treated to give a nicer feel, response and sound than Matador heads. Second, LP Series has the most beautiful designed wood and fiberglass shells. Third, both traditional and Comfort Curve II rims are available with LP Series bongos (see specific bongos for details). Comfort Curve II Rims are premium quality rims and are not available with Matador bongos.
All LP bongos from Artdrum come with LP's three year limited warranty.
