Generation II Bongo Details
Constructed of kiln dried, Siam Oak - a highly resonant and strong wood
Hand picked rawhide heads that have been specially treated to provide a uniform opaque white color and a softer touch
Head Sizes: 7 1/4" and 8 5/8" diameter heads
The shell has a more pronounced contour than other bongos to create crisp, distinct high tones.
Features specially designed steel backing plate which helps prevent cracks from occurring in shell when players playing Salsa, or other active genres, move or drop their bongo in exchange for their cowbell.
LP Generation II Bongos with Comfort Curve II Rims have thicker rims than Bongos LP's Traditional bongo with Comfort Curve Rims. The Comfort Curve II rims make playing easier on the hands; the thicker rims also increase the fullness of tone.
Professional tuning lugs - 5/16" diameter. Lugs connect efficiently to the shell, which increases the ease and comfort while holding the bongo. The bongo bottom has as solid plated, cast aluminum bottom plate.
