LP Generation II Bongos are used by the top percussionists in the world and are constructed of kiln dried, Siam Oak.
Heads: Hand-picked picked rawhide, specially treated to provide consistent color between heads and pleasant, smooth, texture
Head Sizes: 7 1/4" and 8 5/8" diameter
Shell: Pronounced contour which yields crisp & distinct sounds.
Backing Plate: Specially designed steel backing plate helps to prevent cracks from occurring in the shell; this is a pro grade bongo that is durable and reliable
Generation II Bongo with Traditional Rims are a little lighter than the Generation II Bongo w/ Comfort Curve Rims (two traditional rims are about 1 - 2 lbs lighter than two Comfort Curve II rims)
Traditional rims come in chrome but replacements in gold tone are available.
