Features specially designed steel backing plate which helps prevent cracks from occurring in shell when players playing Salsa, or other active genres, move or drop their bongo in exchange for their cowbell.
LP Generation II Bongos with Comfort Curve II Rims have thicker rims than Bongos LP's Traditional bongo with Comfort Curve Rims. The Comfort Curve II rims make playing easier on the hands; the thicker rims also increase the fullness of tone.
