Legendary drummer Candida Cameron was born in Havana barrio in 1921.  He is an innovator and master conqueror.

First, he is heralded as the father of the technique of coordinated independence, a polyrhythmic style of playing.  Plus, he is one of the, if not the, originator of multiple conga playing.  While most players were using one conga he was playing three.  

Throughout his career Candida has played and recorded with countless legends, including Tony Bennett, Mario Baize, Lena Horne and Machete. 

Candida prefers LP congas and has been using and endorsing them for decades.  Now, LP is honoring him through the special, 28", Candida Congas.
