Global Fun - Let's Drum!

- 12/03, GSH

Global? Drums are a quintessential global tool.  They are as old as any instrument, maybe the oldest.  Indeed, the essence of the drum is within nature.  Furthermore, since everything vibrates, including small things like bowls or large things like  planets, we truly live in a universe that is globally rhythmic and percussive.

Drums have influenced people since the earliest times.  People of every nation use drums in celebration, education, rituals, rites, play and therapy.

The drum's global nature reveals that it can be used in countless settings.  Historically and globally it is used to create art, enhance and dictate rituals, supply  entertainment, serve as exercise and work as therapy.  No matter the event drumming moves people in profoundly healthy ways.  It develops strength in muscles and bones, quickness of the mind, and peace for the soul.  Drumming is global fun.  So, if we want to connect more with each other and the universe, then, let's drum!
