Remo Soloist Doumbeks
Remo Soloist doumbeks are part of the Remo Ergonomical Doumbek drum series. The Soloist is a premium quality, professional doumbek.
The Soloist shells are made with Remo's unique Acusticon material. Acusticon is a specially pressed wood fiber, which Remo can molds into drum shells. It's very durable, so a good drum to travel with, and most importantly, Acusticon shells are very musical and responsive. They produce the full range of authentic doumbek tones: clear, crisp "teks" and "kahs" as well as warm, rich "doums".
In addition to the Acusticon shell, the outside of the shell has a special Metalized finish. This finish gives the drum a beautiful, polished look and even helps the musicality of the drum.
The Soloist is also carefully balanced and weighted , which makes them very comfortable to hold.
Even though these are pro drums, beginners can use them too. In fact, they are great instructional drums for several reasons: The shells and materials are very strong and durable; they are comfortable to hold and easy to play.
The 8 and 10" Soloist Doumbeks are special order drums, which means Remo will make it for you upon order. It takes 2 - 3 months for Remo to make and ship it. The 9" Soloist is typically kept in stock and so it's delivery time is just 2 - 5 days in the continental U.S. To get more details or to order please go to:
