Description: The cajon is a humble box, that is so much more.  It has become an extremely popular drum, and for good reasons. This square-ish box offers delightful tones through muted and open hand striking techniques.  This deep drum harmonizes with every instrument family; and its sound is awesome in percussion groups or set-ups!  The LP cajon can has effects that are similar to bongos, tumba size congas and snare drums.  They are a versatile, bass, hand drum, by which players use traditional slaps, palm strike "dooms", muted tones and creative techniques like knocking, scratching and finger tapping. 

The Playing Surface of the LP Cajon is an graced with exotic Takean Tong wood.  The sides of the drum are made of a special composite wood, which LP engineers devised.  This composite wood  produces a broad range of frequency responses, especially a deep low-end, so critical and beautiful to traditional cajon performance. 

Tension of the internal "snare strings" can be adjusted easily with a standard drum key. 

And in a stroke of insight, LP made the cajon height adjustable, liberating the cajon from the floor; allowing it to better vibrate and sing forth it's lovely deep tones.

Two height adjustable feet are located  in the front of the cajon, which not only raises the base of the drum off the floor, but allows players to sit in popular and comfortable positions.

TIP: The LP Cajon can be used as a solo bass drum or it can be incorporated into a variety of set ups - even doubling as a drummer's throne!
