Description: Eco-friendly Vegan Djembes from Rhythm House Drums are hand-crafted, professional grade djembes. RHD uses beautiful American Black Walnut for the shell and Remo Nuskyns for the heads. The fantastic workmanship, design, wood & head make this a professional grade djembe, and one that is animal-free.

The Nuskyn also has some advantages of animal skin. For one, they retain their tuning very well, and are maintain their integrity, tightness and tone even in changing temperature and humidity conditions. Their tuning and sound isn't effected if they get wet from rain or the like. And they generally last longer than an animal skin. The Vegan shell is finished with a few coats of boiled linseed oil. NO urethane or other harsh chemicals are put on the shell. RHD is also conscious of the glues they use in the construction of the shell and do not use shellac (an animal byproduct). Vegan djembes, like all RHD, are constructed with minimal waste, non-toxic glues, natural finish, and respect for our environment.

The rope is premium quality, 5mm gauge; and it is dark-green, representing an earth-friendly product. Each genuine RHD-Vegan djembe has a token of quality imbedded into the shell with a unique serial number, insuring that each djembe is unique, and meets our standard of excellence.
