The 10" chau sound is a bell-like sound.  The tones sustain well but it does not have a strong bass.  It is  vIt is a great for an accent gong, or in a set with antoher gong, or as an add-on to a set-up.  It's pitches will sing above deeper sounding gongs or instruments.  If you want to add a strong percussive feel, play it with two mallets.

C-Shaped Metal Gong Stand: designed to hold up to a 15" gong; weighs about 7 lbs.; the legs are detachable; the hoop is a single piece.  It is easy to carry since it is light.  If you space in your vehicle it is easy to travel with.
