The 22" chau is a beautiful medium size gong.  It's great for office, home, studio or stage.  Although its sound is not as deep as the larger gongs, it still is a solid instruments, which produces a  deep, warm fundamental tone.  It's great for meditation; rhythmic music; ornamentation; sound effects; celebrations; ceremonies and visual decoration.  It's beautiful when played at soft and medium volumes, plus when crescendos (gradually increasing the volume) are played on it, the gong will sing while increasing in intensity and vitality.  Plus, if you want to add a strong percussive feel, play it with two mallets.

Square Gong Stand: Designed to hold up to a 26" gong; weighs about 14 lbs.  This stand is height adjustable and width adjustable.  The stand dissembles, so it's easy to store and good for travel.  It takes about 5 - 10 minuets to assemble.  This stand has excellent balance and is very durable.  It is good for use on stage; in an office; at home; in a field (for marching bands or other outdoor play).
