All the LP congas come with water buffalo hide. LP hand selects and inspects every LP series conga skin before and after it made into head. The Matador and Aspire conga skins are not hand selected but they are guaranteed to be of good quality. In addition to raw hide skins Remo and Evans head manufacturers make synthetic heads designed for LP congas and drums.
