Description: The Paoli Mejias (PM) conga is a premium LP conga. It does sound & play amazingly well. It has a sensitive musical response and great projection. It produces a cutting, rich, wood-block like slap; the open tone is pure & beautiful; the bass is rich & warm. The Asian oak produces a distinct, rich timbre and it is different from LP's other congas, such as the siam oak Classics, North American ash Giovanni Galaxies or Giovanni Palladiums or mango Pedrito Martinez or Durian Classic congas and so on. The slap from the Asian oak shells are amazing. It cuts really well. Weight-wise the Mejias conga is clearly heavier than Pedrito Martinez slightly heavier than the LP Classic conga.
Features the best hardware in the industry! The PMJ conga comes with LP's CCII Z rim with their thickest lugs and LP Heart side plates.
