NOTE: When using a Remo Tucked Bongo Head with an LP or Matador Traditional Bongo Rim: After years of using and tuning a Traditional Bongo Rim, it is possible (but definitely not guaranteed) for the ears of the rim to bend slightly inwards (towards the bongo shell). If the ears of your LP or Matador Traditional Bongo Rim are bent slightly inwards, then it might be harder to fit the Remo Tucked Bongo Head under the rim. Before ordering, you can inspect your rim(s) and all of the ears to see if any appear to be bent inwards.
If you receive a head that is tight when trying to fit it under an LP or Matador Traditional Rim, it may require the head to be squeezed past the ears of the rim. However, squeezing the head past the ears could scratch the head. Please note, if the head gets scuffed, then a return or exchange is not guaranteed. If you receive a head from Artdrum that is a tight fit, you're welcome to contact us and we can help you fit it or find the best solution.
NOTE when using a Remo Tucked Bongo Head with Traditional Bongo Rims: Remo Tucked Heads are about 1" tall/deep. This means that when using this head with a Traditional Rim, the rim will sit just a little below the top of the bongo shell. Over time, with tuning and detuning, it should stretch the head & pull the rim lower.
