Sound Creation gongs are hand made like the Paste Symphonic and Planet gongs, but in contrast to the very smooth faces of the Symphonic and Planet gongs the Sound Creation gongs have dozens, or possibly hundreds, of little hills and valleys (aka nipples) hammered into the gong. This gives the planet gongs their unique voicing, character & expressiveness.
Unlike the smooth sound of the Symphonic & Planets gongs the Sound Creations have a growling-like effect, similar to a didgeridoo. In addition, they also have choral-like singing tones. Their intense growl & beautiful choral-like tones make them our favorite gongs. They are explosive, sensitive to the touch and extremely nuanced. You will discover endless subtleties of sounds and expression in all sizes of the Sound Creation gongs, from the 26" to the 60".
